Happy Yule / Winter Solstice Everyone.
Many people of different religions celebrate the longest day of the year as soon changes will be coming. Its also marks the light and dark festival in which you light candles, a Bon fire, to bring light back into your life.
In my country Iran, we also celebrate longest night of the year that is called Yalda night. Yalda (20th of December) is one of traditional events in Iran which marks as longest and darkest night of the year. In this special night, family members and friends gather together for dinner and it lasts until midnight. During the night we celebrate with tasty traditional meals, nuts and fruits such as : pistachio, almond, walnuts, dries apricots, prunes, pomegranates, watermelon and figs.
