Valentine’s Day Fudge

What is everyone’s favorite treat for Valentine’s Day? Their box of chocolates. Because I have a allergy to coconut in some of those chocolates. I tend to make my Easy Fudge recipe and this time I added a peppermint filling. This is how we made this fudge.

INGREDIENTS:

3 c                         Semi- sweet chocolate chips

1 (14oz)                Sweetened condensed mil

1/4 c                      Butter

1 tsp                      Vanilla

DIRECTIONS:

– In a medium saucepan, add butter, melt.

– Stir in chocolate chips, and the sweetened condensed milk, stir well, til melted through.

– remove from heat and stir in the vanilla.

– In a 9×9 parchment lined baking dish, add the fudge.

I put in the fridge for a while to cool and set.

FILLING:

2 c                   Powdered sugar

1 Tbsp            Melted butter

2 Tbsp            Milk

2 Tsp              Peppermint extract

1 tsp               Food coloring (any color)

Mix all ingredients together, it should be firm.

Spread on the fudge.

Make another batch of fudge and just add a little fudge to the top of filling. You will have extra fudge to give away to your neighbors or friends that come to visit.
